Kendal Stewart, MD

Dr. Stewart is a seventh generation Texan with a family history that is rooted in medicine. Even during high school, Dr. Stewart was eager to become a doctor.  He had the benefit of having a father, Landon Stewart, MD, and an uncle, Sidney Stewart, MD, to perk his interest during his childhood years. After graduating with Honors from the Univ. of Texas at Austin, Dr. Stewart entered medical school when he was only 20 years old at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston.  He completed his formal medical education in Ear, Nose, and Throat / Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Texas at Houston/MD Anderson Hospital System and continued his training with a fellowship in Neurotology/Skull Base Surgery from Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. He is Board Certified in Otolaryngology / Head and Neck Surgery.

In 1994, he arrived in Austin and began focusing on the treatment of complicated inner ear and nervous system syndromes using mostly surgical procedures. However, in rapidly increasing numbers, patients suffering from complicated “Neuro-Immune” syndromes began arriving at his doorstep.  These patients had previously met countless obstacles in their search for a cure, or even a diagnosis, and, at best, had found treatment only for their symptoms.

Throughout his career, Dr. Stewart has always been interested in finding the source of his patient’s issues. With his educational background, including research in the fields of Immunology, Biochemistry and Cell Biology, Dr. Stewart was most interested in objectively identifying the “source” of the condition. Objectively determining the cause allowed him to focus on developing new methods to alter or reverse the progression of the nervous system disorder through both medicinal and nutritional means. His interest in “recovering” the patient continues to be the primary focus of his practice today.

Dr. Stewart has extensively lectured over the past 25 years and is often the “Keynote Speaker” at many conferences. He is most recognized for his work in Concussion identification and recovery, Nutrigenomics (nutritional genetics) and for the design of nutritional supplements.

Dr. Stewart has founded many medically related companies throughout his career. Those companies include Sensoryview, a diagnostic testing company, GX Sciences, a genetic testing laboratory and Neurobiologix, a nutraceutical supplement company. Dr. Stewart has received a U.S. patent for the “network integration of specific diagnostic testing devices of nervous system testing”.  Dr. Stewart continues to serve as Chief Medical Officer for Fagron Genetics and as Chairman of the Design Board for NBX Wellness.

Dr. Stewart is a Christian father and grandfather and is blessed with 4 children, 1 daughter-in-law and 2 beautiful granddaughters. Together with his wife, Cherri, he enjoys spending quality family time in the “Hill Country” of Texas. He enjoys horses, golf, shotgun sports and hunting.

Courtney Stewart

Courtney Stewart, the daughter of Dr. Stewart, graduated high school and began attending Baylor University when she was only 17 years old. Due to her mom’s influence on healthy eating and her father’s interest in medical supplementation, Courtney decided to pursue a degree in Nutrition Sciences with the intention of becoming a Physician Assistant. While at Baylor, Courtney was named to the Dean’s List and invited to become a member of National Society of Collegiate Scholars. Courtney was encouraged to take a “gap semester” by her parents to ensure that medicine was the priority for her studies. Currently Courtney is serving as a Medical Assistant and Phlebotomy Technician in Dr. Stewart’s Office as well as serving as the new host of “Coffee with Dr. Stewart”.

Courtney’s interests in her spare time include singing, piano and Competitive Shotgun Sports. Courtney’s faith is very important in her life. She is highly involved in her church groups and activities at Christian Life Austin where she serves on the Prayer and Worship Teams for the Young Adults.
